Obituary

Mr. Terry L. Prime, 79, of Palatine Bridge, NY, died on February 26, 2026, at Albany Medical Center, with his loving family by his side.


Terry was born in Amsterdam, NY, on May 7, 1946, the son of the late Merton and Lonnie Lancaster Prime.


In 1964, he graduated from Canajoharie High School.


Terry worked for Lifesavers in Canajoharie, retiring in 1988. While working at Lifesavers, he started Two Guys Pizzeria in Canajoharie, NY, with his wife, which they continued to operate until 1993.


He lived in the local area most of his life and was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Fort Plain.


He enjoyed being active in his kids' and grandchildrens extra curricular activites, including coaching the youth football program in Canajoharie, the "Canajoharie Little Dogs", the Middle School Girls Softball, drinking Stewarts coffee, and conversations with people.


He proudly served his country from 1966 until 1968 as an aviation mechanic in the US Air Force, receiving an honorable discharge. He also spent some time as a Mercent Marine.


On October 15, 1969, he married his wife, Sandra Conti. Together, they celebrated 56 years of marriage.


He was predeceased by one of his twin daughters, Brook Lynn Prime, on June 13, 2003.


Survivors include his wife, Sandra Prime of Palatine Bridge, NY; Son Todd and his wife Lori Prime of Dolgeville, NY; daughter Brya and Scott Berning of Schenectady, NY; Loving grandchildren, Madyson and her husband Richard Lippman, of Parrish, Florida, Hayden Casler and his Fiance Kamden Battisti of Sprakers, NY Quinn Casler of Canajoharie; great Grandchildren, Palmer and Stilez; brother Matthew and his wife Miranda Prime of Canajoharie; and his sister Paula and Bob Hayes of Ballston Spa, NY; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins, and many friends.


The family will receive friends and relatives from 4:00-7:00 PM, on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.


Burial will take place with the family at Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery (aka Saratoga National Cemetery), Schuylerville, NY.
