Terry L. Bentz, 65 passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a brief illness on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Albany Medical Center. Terry was born in Amsterdam, NY in 1953. He was the son of Donald and Claire Bentz. Terry was a plumber by trade at Beechnut Lifesavers for a number of years and later worked at Wal-mart until his retirement. Terry was a little college coach in Canajoharie and he also wrestled for the Tri-valley league; receiving a Most Valuable Player award. Terry was predeceased by his parents Donald and Claire Bentz. Terry is survived by his wife, Deborah of Canajoharie; Son Mark A. Bentz; brother Glenn Bentz of Canajoharie, sister Sherry Wilson Bentz of Canajoharie; Step-Brother Ron Bentz of Fort Plain and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The services will be held at Houghtailing & Smith of Canajoharie on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, the funeral service will be from 11:00 - 12:00 PM and grave side burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery (San Flats), 296 Martin Rd, Fonda, NY immediately following the funeral.
