Mr. Shawn A M. Clemons, 40, of Palatine Bridge, NY, passed away on January 20, 2025, at Albany Medical Center unexpectedly after an accident that also took the life of his friend James Randall.
Shawn was born on December 6, 1984, in Little Falls, NY, the son of Frank Rallo, who predeceased him, and Margaret Clemons.
He served 13 years in the US Marine Corps, honorably discharged as a staff sergeant. A seasoned weapons instructor, he completed two tours in Afghanistan and was stationed in Japan and San Diego.
In 2011, he married his wife LiLi Clemons in San Diego, California.
Most recently he was employed by A and K slipform of Cobleskill, NY as a mason.
Shawn lived in the local area most of his life, except when he served in the US Marine Corps.
Since returning to NY, he was a coach for the Fort Plain Little League and had served as the President, and Vice President of the organization; he also enjoyed playing softball in many different leagues, including the Tri-Valley Softball League. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, playing video games, renovating his house, watching the Buffalo Bills, and hanging out with his close friends Ethan Shostek, Justin Vanasse, and his best friend Erik Thackrah (Tiffany).
Besides his father, he was predeceased in death by his Grandparents; (Ma) Edna Walts and Phylo Walts.
He is survived by his wife LiLi Clemons and Cane Corso "Kane"; mother Margie Clemons; siblings Jack Rallo, Angela Rallo (Stephen), Mark Clemons, Sr (Johanna), Tim Clemons, Sr. (Shelley), Mike Clemons, Sr.; brother in law Allison (Sharon) and Krisdy (Aileen); sister-in-law Norma (John); Special Cousins Tim Clemons. Jr, Alyssa (Jay), Mark Clemons. Jr (Allyssa), Matthew, Olivia (Mandy), Amanda (Brandon), Fred (Karen); many nieces and nephews including Nate, Andrew, Daniella, Hailey, Brantley, Harper, Kenley, Chase, Kendrick, Ari, Michael II, June Mark (Jackie), Dylan, Janine, Jona (Chuck), Talayah, Andrea, Kalvin, Kirby, Krystal (Arleigh)
Arrangments are entrusted to Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317, please direct all remembrances to the funeral home website at www.houghtalingandhanley.com
The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, February 2nd, 2025, from 1:00 - 4:00 PM, at the Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. Rev. Nancy Ryan will conduct a funeral service at 4:00 PM. The family will be hosting a celebration of Shawn's life after the service.
A private funeral and burial will take place at Saratoga National Cemetery.
