Sally R Selig, 78 of Guilderland, passed away peacefully, at home, on June 17, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Little Falls, New York. Sally was the daughter of the late Edwin & Catherine Kretser. She was also predeceased by her three sons: Wayne Selig, Jeffrey Jones and Scott Selig, as well as her sister, Patricia Mae Uhlig.

For many years, she served the community as a dedicated school bus driver, for Guilderland Central School District. Safely carrying generations of children to and from school. She was a familiar smile in the morning, a comforting presence after school. Sally truly cared about every child who stepped onto her bus.

The simplest pleasures in life brought Sally great joy. She loved everything in life and was an avid traveler, especially the spontaneous road trips she would take with her husband Buddy. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and even loved babysitting her great grandbabies any time she could.

Sally is now reunited with her beloved husband of 54 years Buddy and survived by her daughter, Wendy (Michael) Houck; three sons, Randy Jones, Gary (Lydia) Selig; Cory Selig. Two granddaughters Jennifer (Nicholas) Basile and Sara (Noah) Houck, two great grandbabies Dana Rae and Nicholas Antone, her beloved brother Edwin Jay Kretser. She also has several step grandchildren.

A private funeral service is being held in Fort Plain and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice in honor of Sally Selig.
