Miss Rose K. Swartz, 89, formerly of Clinton Street, Sprakers, New York passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 at St. Johnsville Rehab and Nursing Center. Born on July 14, 1930 in Sprakers, NY, she was the daughter of Claude Swartz and Kathryn Kennedy Swartz. She attended Canajoharie Schools and was a lifelong area resident. Miss Swartz was a meat wrapper and cashier at Victory Market in Canajoharie, which then became Great American Supermarket, retiring in 1992. She was a communicant of the former St. Peter's & Paul's Catholic Church in Canajoharie. Her sister, Florence Boyce; brother, Claude Swartz, Jr. predeceased her. Miss Swartz is survived by her sister, Marjorie Smith; a niece, Robin Simpson; special friends and caregivers Elsie Rocklin and Kathy Carpenter. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Maple Ave. Cemetery, Fultonville, NY, with a date and time announced at a later date.
