Robert (Bob) Smith, 73, of Fort Plain, NY, before moving to Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024, with his wife by his side.

Bob was born in Little Falls, NY, to his late parents, Robert H Sr. and Helen Smith. He was predeceased by Eaker and Violet Smith, who loved and raised him.

Bob worked for Beechnut, retired after 43 years, and belonged to the Canajoharie Fire Department for many years.

Bob's favorite pastimes were fishing and hunting. He loved collecting the heads of his trophies and hanging them all over his house.

He was survived by his loving wife, Terry Parslow Smith, of 26 years; his children and stepchildren, Amy Smith, Kristy (JD) Shibley, Christopher (Ashley), and Melissa (Michael) Robert; a sister, Marykay Snell, and 10 loving grandchildren.

Services will be held at Houghtaling & Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego St, Canajoharie, NY, on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00, with a small celebration of his life to follow the services. A celebration of life for his friends in Bridgeport will be held at a later date.
