Robert A. Shaut, II, 38, a lifelong resident of the village of St. Johnsville, NY, passed away at his home unexpectedly.

Robert was born in Little Falls, NY, on April 4, 1988, the son of Robert D. Shaut and Kimberly Colella Shaut.

He was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School. Robert worked as a self-employed contractor in the local area his entire life.

In his spare time, he enjoyed working on computers and any electronics, repairing or rebuilding them. He helped many friends with their homes, skilled in building, plumbing, and electrical work, and able to build a home from the ground up. He also enjoyed all sorts of art, music, playing his guitar, and banjo. Most of all, he will be remembered as a good friend who loved his family.

In April 2013, in St. Johnsville, NY, he married his wife, Ashley Countryman.

Survivors include his wife, Ashley Shaut; parents, Robert "Bobby" and Kim Shaut; daughter, Addison Shaut; brothers Jamie Shaut, Shane Shaut, and Kenny Shaut; sister Anna Shaut; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family is planning a graveside service at the Village of St. Johnsville Cemetery, a time and date to be announced when available.
