Robert W. Hill's Obituary
Mr. Robert W. Hill, 66, of State Route 29, St. Johnsville (Town of Ephratah), NY passed away on August 6, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital.
Born on December 19, 1955 in Gloversville, NY, he was the son of Richard Hill and Ruth Merrill Hill. He was a graduate of Johnstown High School, Class of 1974 and was a lifelong area resident.
Robert worked on the filling line at Benjamin Moore for the past 18 years, previously working as a paver.
He was a member of the Ephratah Rod & Gun Club, and the Concordia Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and camping.
On September 11, 1982 at The Ephratah Methodist Church, Robert married Deanne Kane.
His parents predeceased him.
Robert is survived by his wife, Deanne Hill; sister, Linda and her husband, Clay Berry; brothers, Ed Hill and his wife, Chris, Richard Hill and his wife, Gail; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday August 9, 2022, from 4:00-7:00 PM at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 10th, at 10:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Ephratah Rural Cemetery.
Contributions in memory of Mr. Robert W. Hill may be made to the Ephratah Volunteer Fire Department, 4305 State Highway 10, Fort Plain, NY 13339.
