Mr. Richard R. Eco, 90, of Abeling Street, Canajoharie, New York passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at his home. Born on April 16, 1928 in New York City, NY, he was the son of Peter Eco and Anne Porzio Eco. He held several degrees from various New York City Colleges, including a Juris Doctorate. Mr. Eco been a resident of the local area for the past 14 years. Mr. Eco was an attorney and worked for the NYS Board of Education in NYC, retiring in 1992. He served in the US Marine Corp from 1952-1954. He was of Episcopal faith. Mr. Eco enjoyed current world events. In February 1963 in Miami, Florida, Richard was married to Dorothy. His brother, Peter Eco predeceased him. Mr. Eco is survived by his wife, Dorothy Eco of Canajoharie, NY; sons, Peter and his wife, Marie, Bill; daughters, Bonnie, Dorothy, Frances; grandchildren, Brian, and Vincent. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 11:00am at Canajoharie Falls Cemetery with military honors.
