Mrs. Patty Ann Siegle Clapper, 60, of Shultze Street, Canajoharie was promoted to glory, Sunday, June 24, 2018 at her home. Born on August 31, 1957 in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of Fred Siegle, Jr. and Ethel Buford Siegle. She was a graduate of Fort Plain High School, Class of 1975 and was a lifelong area resident. Patty attended Practical Bible Training School in Binghamton, NY, and received her LPN through The HFM BOCES program. Mrs. Clapper utilized her LPN through Private Care. She also taught Kindergarten for 18 years at Mohawk Valley Christian Academy in Little Falls, NY. She loved her job and the children. She was a member of The First Baptist Church in Little Falls, NY. Patty loved to read and play piano. She also loved her miniature toy poodle, Tippy. On August 17, 1996 at the former Mohawk Station, Patty was married to Claude Clapper. He preceded her in death in 2005. She was also predeceased by her sister, Verna Siegle. Mrs. Clapper is survived by her brother, Richard Siegle of Canajoharie, NY; sisters, Louella Varnadore of Gloversville, NY; Connie Siegle of Canajoharie, NY; nephews, Chad Herron and Heidi of Gloversville, NY, Kyle Herron and Stacy of Nelliston, NY, Benjamin Siegle; great-nephews, Andy, and Zach; great-niece, Cassy; several aunts and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 11:00AM at The First Baptist Church of Little Falls, NY with Rev. Chris Wintermute officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 4:00-7:00PM at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY.
