Mrs. Patricia Sowizdral, 59, of Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY, passed away on July 31, 2024, at Albany Medical Center.

Patricia was born on April 27, 1965, in Cobleskill, Ny the daughter of the late William Hector and Olga Slavik Dobbin.

She was a graduate of Liverpool High School and attended FMCC.

Most recently, she had worked as a nurse at Palatine Nursing Home.

Before moving to Canajoharie in 2003, she lived on Happy Hollow Road.

She was a member of the Canajoharie Reformed Church and enjoyed reading books, especially her bible and music.

She married John S. Sowizral, Jr., on January 26, 2001, in Mohawk, NY, and he predeceased her on July 11, 2020.

She was also predeceased by her sisters, Vivan Renaud and Sandy Hines, and brother, Bill Dobbin.

Survivors include her daughters, Samantha Sowizdral and Josie Sowizdral, sons Johnny Sowizdral and William Sowizdral; brother Tom Dobbin, and sisters Theresa Poltenson, Cathy VanNatten, Deborah Dobbin, and Cindy Chase; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangments are under the direction of Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. John and Patricia will be entombed at Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
