Mrs. Pamela Waner, 73, of McEwan Road, Canajoharie, New York died Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at St. Mary's Healthcare of Amsterdam, following a brief illness.
Born on October 16, 1948 in Ilion, NY, she was the daughter of Robert Watson and Carol Gros Watson. She was a lifetime area resident.
Mrs. Waner worked at many various places locally. She really enjoyed working for Palatine Cheese in Palatine Bridge and was known by many for working at True Value in Fort Plain.
Pam attended Victorious Life Church in Fort Plain and Community Bible Church in Canajoharie.
She was an animal lover. She loved dogs, cats, and especially horses. She accomplished her lifelong goal of having a house in the country with her horses, which she aptly named "Heavenly Hill Farm". Pam loved to shop. It didn't matter if she were shopping in-store, online, or at a garage sale.
On May 13, 1993 in Ephratah, NY, Pam was married to Thomas Waner. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2016. Her brother, Chris Watson also predeceased her.
Mrs. Waner is survived by her daughter, Christine and Kevin Dietzman of Myrtle Beach, SC; son, Patrick "PJ" O'Connor and Tiffany Sweet of Canajoharie, NY; granddaughters, Cassandra O'Connor, Dorothy Dodson; cats, Goobie and Mama.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10:00AM at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 4:00-7:00PM at the funeral home.
