Matthew L. Voght, 55, of Little Falls, passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2026, at Little Falls Bassett Hospital.

Born on July 9, 1971, in Amsterdam, NY, Matthew was the cherished son of Leonard and Edna Voght. He attended Fort Plain Schools and established himself as a talented self-employed auto mechanic. A man of the Lutheran faith, Matthew was known for his passion for cars and his infectious sense of humor, which brought joy to all who knew him.

He is predeceased by his parents, his brother, Leonard John Voght, his sister, Alberta Katherine Smith, and his fiancée, Tara Youngblood.

Matthew is lovingly remembered by his fiancée, Deena Depew; his daughters, Amanda (William) Grower, Allison Voght, and Caitlyn Voght; his siblings, Larry (Deb) Voght, John (Deb) Voght, Cindy Spraker, Claudia Voght, and  Robin (Jeff) Woods; and his beloved grandchildren, Noah, Lucas, Liam, and Dylan Grower. He also leaves behind many treasured nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, followed by a brief service at 11:00 a.m.
