Marlin Susan Smith, 81, of Liverpool, NY and Myrtle Beach, SC died October 29, 2021 at Upstate University Hospital. She was born on March 20, 1940 in Merrick, N.Y. to Hubert Lassig and Margaret Gerkin Lassig. Marlin earned an Associates Degree in nursing from Mohawk Valley Community College after which she enjoyed a thirty year career as a Registered Nurse. She is survived by her devoted husband of sixty five years, Russell D. Smith; daughters Debra (Gayle) Wiegand and Donna (Jon) Miles of Liverpool, son Gregory D. Smith of Myrtle Beach, SC; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and brother Ronald H. (Karen) Lassig of Yorkshire, NY. A graveside service will be held on a future date at Fort Plain Cemetery.
