Laura Ann Snyder Oest, 74, of Willett Street, Fort Plain, New York passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 24, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. Born on August 24, 1942 in Fordsbush, NY, she was the daughter of Fayette Snyder and Edna Edick. Laura was a homemaker most of her life while raising her five boys. She enjoyed her daily telephone conversations with family & friends, loved crocheting and word search puzzles. Laura is survived by her sons, Raymond S. Hurteau and his wife, Jennifer of Nelliston, NY and Russell J. Hurteau and his wife, Colleen of Fort Plain, NY, and a daughter Lois Kaszab and her husband, Frank of Fort Plain, NY. She is also survived by a sister, Beverley Wick of Fort Plain, ten grandchildren, Renae Turley, Jayme Hurteau, Brittney Hoffman, Dustin Hurteau, Courtney Hurteau, and Desiree Hurteau all of Texas and Stephanie Kaszab, Joshua Introne, Amanda Hurteau, and Alyssa Introne all of Fort Plain, NY and eight great grandchildren. Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Oest, sons, Roy Hurteau Jr., Roger Hurteau and Randy Hurteau, and siblings, Harold Snyder, Bertha Cook, and Fayette Snyder Jr. In keeping with Laura's wishes services will be private.
