Mr. Larry Thompson, 77, of First Ave., Caroga Lake, New York passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. Born on April 5, 1942 he was the son of Raymond Thompson and Nellie Mae Baker Thompson. He was a graduate of Canajoharie, Class of 1960 and a graduate of Cobleskill Tech, Class of 1962. He was a lifetime area resident. Mr. Thompson worked for National Grid , Retiring as a Street Light foreman after 36 years. He was of Methodist faith. Mr. Thompson is survived by his children, Scott Thompson of Galway, NY, Shannon Moe of Virginia Beach, VA, Jeff Smith of Venice, FL; twin brother, Gary Thompson of Clifton Park, NY ; sister, Delores T. Jacksland of Palatine Bridge, NY; 8 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 2nd, 2019 at 10:00AM at Fort Plain Cemetery with Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY.
