Laith D. Sweet, 44, of Ephratah, NY died on December 12, 2023. Laith was born on December 30th, 1978 in Amsterdam, NY, the son of Kevin and Donna Carr Sweet.

He attended St. Johnsville High School, and lived his entire life in the local area. Most recently he was self-employed as a concrete mason. Prior to that he had worked for JJP Slipform, Sprakers, NY. Laith loved working with concrete, and really excelled at it.

Laith loved life, being with his family and especially his granddaughter.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Mary and Merlin Saltsman.

Survivors include his parents, Kevin and Donna Sweet; his children Rillea Sweet, Thomas Oeser, and Kiera Sweet; brother Devin Sweet; sister Chandra Frye; granddaughter Mary-Jeene Folts; the mother of his children, Allisa Dodson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will take place in the spring, a date and time announced, at the Ephratah Rod and Gun Club.
