Summerfield, Florida

It is with deep sorrow and profound respect that we announce the peaceful passing of Kathy S. Hoffman (née Snyder) on June 30, 2026, at the Ted and Diane Brandly Hospice House in Florida. Born on May 12, 1946, in Little Falls, New York, Kathy’s journey through life was marked by warmth, dedication, and an enduring devotion to family and friends.

Kathy spent her formative years in Fort Plain, NY, where she cultivated values rooted in compassion and integrity—qualities that would define her path. A proud graduate of Fort Plain High School, Class of 1964, she continued her education at the Utica School of Beauty Culture, laying the foundation for a vocation that would touch countless lives.

Her vibrant spirit found expression in her career. Kathy was both the owner and operator of Kathy's Beauty Bar. Before dedicating herself to her business, Kathy contributed her talents to Central National Bank, Beech-Nut/Lifesavers, and the former Charter House Restaurant, earning admiration from colleagues and patrons alike for her unwavering reliability and good cheer.

Kathy’s life was a tapestry woven with cherished relationships and simple joys. She delighted in shopping and antiquing, adventures often made more memorable by the company she kept. Above all, nothing brought her greater happiness than sharing time with her beloved grandchildren, Nathan and Emily Hime, whose laughter and stories were her treasures.

Her love extended deeply to her family. Kathy is survived by her devoted son, Todd, and his wife, Jill Hime, whose support and affection brought her immense comfort. She leaves an indelible mark on her grandchildren, Nathan and Emily, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and curiosity. As well as her Sister-In-Law, Jackie Snyder; her nephews, Geoff and Brad Snyder, and her beloved dog, Libby.

Kathy’s memory is also held dear by those who preceded her in eternal rest, including her dear brother, Terry Snyder, whose bond, though interrupted by distance, was never diminished by time.

Throughout her life, Kathy’s effervescent nature and gracious heart inspired those around her. Whether greeting a neighbor, hosting a gathering, or tending lovingly to her patrons at the beauty bar, she imparted a sense of belonging and joy, leaving behind not only fond recollections but a lasting testament to a life well lived.

In honoring Kathy’s memory, her family and friends gather with deep gratitude for the gift of her presence, cherishing the moments that now shine as their most precious inheritance.

Kathy has requested a private graveside service with family.
