Mrs. Karen Przebowski, 65, of Cobleskill, New York, passed away November 22, 2022 at Palatine Nursing Home. She was born in East Patchogue, Long Island, NY on February 5th, 1957, the daughter of the late Frank and Alice Marie Baversfeld Bealey.

Karen was a graduate of Port Jefferson High School,, Long Island, then from Suffolk Community College, Then obtained her BA from SUNY Stony Brook, and finally obtaining her masters degree from SUNY Stoney Brook.

Karen had worked at he Smithtown General Hospital as the kitchen supervisor, when she left this job she went on to obtain her bachelors and masters degrees in nutrition, after obtaining this she went to work at St. James Nursing Home in Long Island as the kitchen manager.

Karen and her husband have lived in the local Cobleskill area for the past 15 years, since retirement. Prior to that they had lived in Long Island.

She was of Catholic faith, enjoyed hiking, fishing, and camping. Yet one of her biggest enjoyments was being at work.

She was predeceased by her two brothers, Joe and Paul Bealey.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Przebowski; Brother Dan Bealey; Sister Gina Sigan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family is planning a small service in the spring at their home, the time and date will be announced then.
