Mr. John S. Sowizdral, Jr., 64, of Otsego Street, Canajoharie, New York died Saturday, July 11, 2020 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, following a long illness. Born on October 12, 1955 in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of John S. Sowizdral, Sr. and Margaret Ulrichk Sowizdral. He attended Draper High School in Schenectady and had been a resident of the Canajoharie area since 2003, previously residing in Syracuse. He is a veteran of the US Air Force, serving from 1973-1975, obtaining the rank of E3. He was a member of the Reformed Church of Canajoharie. John enjoyed working on cars and fixing things. On January 26, 2001 in Mohawk, NY, John married Patricia Dobbin. His parents predeceased him. Mr. Sowizdral is survived by his wife, Patricia Sowizdral; daughters, Samantha Sowizdral, Josephine Sowizdral; sons, Johnny Sowizdral, III, William Sowizdral; sister, Tammy; brothers, Joe Becker, Jim Sowizdral; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
