Mr. John Arthur Rocas, 82, of Montgomery Street, Canajoharie, NY, passed away at home on December 1, 2022 surrounded by his family following a long illness.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY August 12, 1940, the son of John and Emily Schilchthorl Rocas.

He was a graduate of East New York Vocational high School.

John was self employed as a route salesman for many years. After retiring from that he enjoyed driving the Amish for about 10 years.

He had lived in the local area since 1976. John was a member of the Canajoharie Reformed Church, and was a usher there. He was also a avid gardener, fisherman, and most of all known for his love of his family and friends.

He is predeceased by his grandsons Jonathan Rocas and Christopher Clements.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Janet Rocas; Children John Michael Rocas, CynthiaJean Clements, Robert C. Rocas, William A. Rocas and Jeffrey J. Rocas; Sister Jean Summner; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Johns request there will be a private service held at the convenience of the family.
