Mr. John M. Bublak, 64, of Main Street, Fort Plain, New York died peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at his home, with his loving family by his side. Born on July 14, 1953 in Ballston Spa, NY, he was the son of Emil Paul Bublak and Catherine Jankowski Bublak. Mr. Bublak was a painter for Hefflen Painters in Burnt Hills for many years. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving from December 1974 to May 1975. John loved to sit outside and greatly enjoyed his grandchildren reading stories. Mr. Bublak is survived by his adoptive family, Melissa Williams and her children, Starlissa, Gee-Vana, Ky-Asia, Greg; and grandchildren, Lucia, Carter, and Alexander. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 9:30am at The Gerald B.H. Soloman National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. Arrangements are entrusted to Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY.
