Mr. James Michael Blowers, 71, of Barclay Street, Canajoharie, NY died on January 14, 2023, following a brief illness at the Samuel Stratton Hospital, Albany, NY.

He was born in Fulton Co., NY, the son of the late Nelson and Edith Podschelne Blowers.

Mr. Blowers attended Gloversville Schools and lived most of his life in the local area.

He worked as a security guard and truck driver for many local area businesses throughout his working career.

He served his country in the United States Marine Corp, from 1971-1975.

He enjoyed hunting right up until this last season.

James was predeceased by his sisters; Dawn Lane, Darla Yennard; brothers David Blowers and Jerry Blowers; and a niece Darcy Blowers.

Survivors include his companion of 29 years; Amy Kretser; daughters Jennifer Ponder, and Sabrina Polk; son James "Jimmy" Blowers; 3 brothers Rod Blowers, Allen Blowers, and Paul Blowers; several grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Inurnment will take place at Gerald B. Solomon Cemetery at a later date.
