Mr. Glen Robert Snyder, Jr., 74, formerly of Wagner Street, Fort Plain, NY died Monday, October 25, 2021 at Palatine Nursing Home, following an extended illness.

Born on January 6, 1947 in Ilion, NY, he was the son of Glen Robert Snyder, Sr. and Pearl M. McGuire Snyder. He was a graduate of Cherry Valley Central School and was a lifelong area resident.

Glen worked for Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown and St. Clare's Hospital in Schenectady in Housekeeping.

He was a Veteran of the US Army serving as a Medic during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed going for long drives and had an amazing memory of roadways and routes. He was an avid Jets fan. He enjoyed eating Doritos and drinking tomato juice while watching TV.

His parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles predeceased him.

Mr. Snyder is survived by his sister, Joan and Kermit Mosher; niece, Barbara Bourdeau; nephew, Charles and Michelle Mosher; great-nieces and great-nephews, Victoria, Jonathan, Marissa, Tyler, and Miranda; as well as several cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Noon at The Chapel of Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 10:00-12:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in VanHornesville Cemetery.
