Mrs. Elaine J. King, 66, of Garfield Street, Fort Plain, New York passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at her home.

Born on September 7, 1953 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of Harry Soards, Sr. and Marjorie Marteslo Soards. She attended Cherry Hill High School in New Jersey. She had been a resident of the local area for over 30 years, previously residing in New Jersey.

Elaine was a caregiver to her friends and she enjoyed driving her husband crazy.

On August 10, 1980 in New Jersey, Elaine was married to Harvey King, Jr.

Her parents and brother-in-law, Richard Tomlinson predeceased her.

Mrs. King is survived by her husband, Harvey King, Jr. of Fort Plain, NY; 5 children, Harvey King, III, Danny A. King, Annette M. King, all of Florida, Kenneth D. King of West Virginia, Tammy King of Fort Plain, NY; 6 grandchildren, Amber, Danyel and her husband, Alex, Crystal, Faith, Justin, Katie; brother, Harry Soards, Jr. and his wife, Mary of New Jersey; sister, Barbara Tomlinson of New Jersey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held in New Jersey at a later date.
