Mrs. Donna L. Davis, 75, formerly of State Highway 80, Fort Plain, New York passed away early Wednesday, May 2, 2018, surrounded by her family.

Born on September 25, 1942 in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of Donald Staley and Marion Leitt Staley.  She was educated at Fonda-Fultonville Central School and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Davis was a self-employed meat wrapper.

On August 2, 1959 in Fonda, NY, Donna was married to Rodney R. Davis.  He preceded her in death on September 13, 2007.  Her son, Robert Davis, as well as a brother and a sister also predeceased her.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her sons, Douglas Davis of Utica, NY, Steven Davis of Richfield Springs, NY; 2 sisters; 1 brother; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 2:00pm at The Chapel of Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY with Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 1:00-2:00pm at the funeral home.  Burial will take place in Fort Plain Cemetery.
