Mrs. Donna M. Cook, 64, of St. Hwy. 80, Fort Plain, New York died Friday, January 27, 2017 at St. Mary's Healthcare in Amsterdam, following a battle with cancer.

Born on February 16, 1952 in Ilion, NY, she was the daughter of George Rose and Helen Moon. She lived at her home in Fort Plain for the past 45 years, and previously resided at Division Street in Fort Plain.

She was a member of Victorious Life Church in Fort Plain.

Donna enjoyed putting puzzles together and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On April 14, 1973 at the Lutheran Parsonage in Fort Plain, Donna was married to Peter C. Cook.

Her parents and her sister, Gloria Gee predeceased her.

Mrs. Cook is survived her husband of 43 years, Peter Cook of Fort Plain, NY; daughters, Donna and Roger Clark of Palatine Bridge, NY, Ann and Charles Knoblauch, Jr. of Fort Plain, NY; son, Harvey Cook; 3 sisters, Janice and Charles Yunker of Inghams Mills, NY, Margaret and Vic McCarthy of Fort Plain, NY, Jean Kravec of OH; 4 brothers, Kenny Gee of Little Falls, NY, Bernard and MaryJo Rose of Fonda, NY, Ernie Gee of St. Johnsville, NY, Harry and Marjorie Gee of Little Falls, NY; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A prayer will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 9:15am at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317; the funeral service will follow at 10:00am at Victorious Life Church, 104 Main Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the spring at Mount Hope Cemetery in Fordsbush.
