Mrs. Dolores S. Kretser, 84, of Saltsman Road, St. Johnsville, New York passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at St. Johnsville Rehab and Nursing Center.

Born on August 1, 1935 in Johnstown, NY, she was the daughter of Emma Bellinger.  She attended school in Johnstown and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Kretser worked with her husband, Gary at their family business, Kretser Sheet Metal, as a Bookkeeper for over 28 years.  She also worked for Hussman in Gloversville and prior to that she worked for Palatine Dye in St. Johnsville.

Dolores enjoyed woodworking, fishing, boating, and traveling, especially to Maine, often enjoying Lobster.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

On May 16, 1972 at the St. Johnsville United Methodist Church, Dolores was married to Gary Kretser.

Her son, Harold Berry, III; and brother, William Gebou predeceased her.

Mrs. Kretser is survived by her husband, Gary Kretser of Ephratah, NY; son, Clayton Berry of Ephratah, NY; daughter, Judith Telfer of Ephratah, NY; step-daughter, Connie Jean Walton of Johnstown, NY; brother-in-law, Roger Kretser of Ephratah, NY; sisters-in-law, Beverly Cotton of Fort Plain, NY and Geraldine Nellis of Coldbrook, NY; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, including the newest edition, Gavin, who will be 2 in February; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.  Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Fonda.  Arrangements are entrusted to Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339.
