David E. Clancy, Sr., 79, of Fort Plain, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the Bassett Healthcare of Cooperstown. 

David was born on Wednesday, February 12, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Michael and Edythe (Hoffman) Clancy. He graduated from West Islip High School, class of 1965. David was the owner/operator of his farm for many years. He enjoyed farming and growing his vegetables.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Doris Wilday Clancy, and son, Sean McCulloch.

Survivors include his children, David (Victoria) Clancy Cramer, Patrick (Stephanie) McCulloch, Scott Clancy, and Jeannette (William) Edge, daughter-in-law, Alissa McCulloch, 10 grandchildren,8 great-grandchildren, sisters, Catherine (David) Smith, Elizabeth (Robert) Olsson, Mary Clancy, Patricia Clancy with Colm Kennedy, Erin Gratch, Teddi (Raymond) Kiefl, Maureen Clancy, Sue Anne Clancy-Athens (Michael), and brothers, Michael (Karen) Clancy, Daniel Clancy with Cherie Hallstein.
