Mr. Charles E. Grandy, 93, of Devenpeck Road, Sprakers, New York passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at home. Born on January 23, 1928 in Johnstown, NY, he was the son of Edgar Grandy and Mary Northup Grandy. He was a lifetime area resident. Most of his life Charles worked on the family farm in Canajoharie. He retired as a County Employee, working with heavy equipment. He was an active member of Ames Baptist Church, serving as Trustee. He loved spending time with his family. On April 5, 1947 at The Johnstown Baptist Church, Charles was married to Evelyn Grandy. She preceded him in death on October 30, 2020. His grandson, Eli Banks also predeceased him. Mr. Grandy is survived by his daughter, Linda and Timothy Tangen; grandchildren, Nancy and Corey, Timothy and Holly, Charles and Patricia; 14 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 10:00AM at Christian Church of Rural Grove, 170 Rural Grove Road, Sprakers, NY with grandson, Pastor Tim Tangen USAF Chaplain officiating. Burial will take place privately at Maple Ave. Cemetery in Fultonville, NY. Contributions in memory of Mr. Charles E.
